You can never have enough space in your home and when it begins to disappear adding a conservatory is a very practical solution.
There is so much you can do to the inside of a conservatory. Even the smallest of conservatory designs give you lots of opportunity to inject some of your personality into it, a bit like you will have done in other areas of the property.
Don’t worry if you’re struggling to come up with ways of prettying up your conservatory interior as we have some suggestions that you can easily implement.
Put some Ultra Violet colour in there
Every year, the Pantone Color Institute announces a “Color of the Year” and their choice for 2018 is Ultra Violet. Ultra Violet is a blue-based purple and has been described as a “provocative and thoughtful purple shade.”
There are various soft furnishings available in this striking colour and you can buy Ultra-Violet coloured lampshades, coasters etc.
Incorporating a bit of Ultra Violet into the structure will demonstrate to visitors that you are completely in tune with the latest trends.
Make a garden connection
Your conservatory will be in touching distance of your garden, so it makes sense to create some sort of link between the two places.
A set of bi-folding doors, patio doors or French doors will give you that as they can be engineered into the design and will provide a nice opening into the outdoors.
Some of the garden can also be brought into the space just by adding potted plants onto any tables or window ledges to give it a garden-like scent and feel.
Fit conservatory blinds
A predominantly glazed conservatory, particularly a glass-to-floor design, will result in a huge volume of natural light travelling into the extension. This will leave the conservatory feeling extra spacious; however, there may be occasions when all this light becomes a little too intense.
You can shut if off when needed with some made-to-measure blinds (Venetian, Roller, Roman, Vertical, Pleated). Conservatory blinds comes in a range of colours and patterns, so it will be easy finding blinds that complement everything else in the space.
