Porches can help to save you money by keeping in the warmth and keeping out the cold, reducing draughts in your home. They are also a great addition to a home, which can really make your house stand out.

A brief origin of porches.

In the UK, the Porch became common use by churches in the medieval times. Back in the olden days, porches were normally built of stone or timber and placed on the southern side of the building, but often added on other sides as well. The porches were mainly built to provide cover for church goers.

As time went on the churches began to have two storeys, with a outer room above the entrance which was used as a storeroom, or library. Sometimes the church custodian lived in the upper storey and a window in to the church would be used for supervision of the the inside. Some of the older churches still have these porches, both internally and externally.

Nowadays porches are highly customisable, with different roof designs, colours and Conservatory Outlet will even match your brick pattern so that it matches your house.

Here at Conservatory Outlet we are very proud of our PVC Porches range. If you would like more information, please request a free quote online or pick up the phone and one of our excellent customer support staff will be happy to help you.
