Home Information Packs (HIP’s)

Properties marketed for sale in England and Wales now need a Home Information Pack (also known as the HIP). These information packs are designed to reduce the stress of both buying and selling by containing all essential information about the property you are considering buying up front.

A very important part of the Home Information Packs is the Energy Performance Certificate telling prospective buyers about the energy performance of your house.

Over 40% of the UK’s carbon dioxide emissions come from
the energy we are using everyday. These emissions contribute to climate change and improvements to the energy efficiency of our homes could result in a significant reduction in these wasteful emissions.

Research shows that buyers consider energy efficiency to
be an important part of their decision making.
